Modern looking restaurant that has indoor and outodoor seating. Drinks are strong and delicious. Staff is friendly and provide exceptional service. Guac and chips were delicious; guac tasted fresh.
We enjoyed lunch at La Popular. David was a kind, well spoken and helpful server; highly attentive with great recommendations. The aesthetics are fun swanky, post modern Mazatlan with a slight rustic coziness. It's open and airy, clean and low key cheery. The food is flavorful with a slight kick of spiciness. We enjoyed the a la carte grilled shrimp tacos and creamy chipotle shrimp tacos; tasty and filling. The guacamole was mmm tasty! All the food was fresh; including the chips which tasted freshly cooked by order. I would not only come again; I would recommend to others. Prices are affordable, comparable to the area.
a vibe. Love the atmosphere and the the staff. The hostess was sweet and my server Alex was the best. Probably the best service I've had in a longggg time. And I'm an avid yelper. Alex was friendly and professional. He brought out my parties orders while they were hot and didn't hesitate when asked for accommodations. No matter how good the food is at a restaurant. I feel like service is everything. I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. The food here taste authentic spicy is actually spicy and the chips taste homemade.
Definitely would recommend coming. Whether you're looking for a good meal or drinks with friends. They have it all. They do have a live band on Tuesday nights! I get the forbidden mule, one of my favorite drinks! Staff is friendly and quick! The inside views are very romantic at night. They also have a beautiful outdoor seating.
Great service, delicious food, I ordered the shrimp fajitas they came out so good. Decor is really cute and trendy, can be dark in the evening time.
I went back to try La Popular again and it did NOT disappoint! Happy hour margaritas were good! Had the tacos and they were delicious ! My server was also very nice and attentive. I ended up doing work, eating and enjoying the live music for like 2 hours. It was perfect!
Had heard great things about the restaurant from coworkers recently, so went with some friends Saturday evening for dinner. The night was busy, so we expected a wait time. After our wait, got seated and tried several of their drinks (aqua frescas and a paloma). We enjoyed their drinks! Food wise - we ordered their salsa tray along with an order of the guacamole. It was good, but would definitely just stick with the guacamole. Also ordered their tortilla soup, chile relleno, and their mole enchiladas. The chile relleno was different since it wasn't breaded with the egg and fried and then simmer in a tomatoes sauce. It's something different, and the mole enchiladas were good. The service was appreciated as our server made sure things were to our liking and accommodate our request for a table last minute. Ambiance was nice with the music and the crowd. Definitely a nice treat for a Saturday night outing w friends!
